Jacob's Ladder Pattern

MATERIALS:

• 7 weight Chenille yarn in 3 colors:
  1. Color A - 198 yards;
  2. Color B - 148 yards; and
  3. Color C - 148 yards
• Scissors
• Anything you need to complete the finishing work. 

 

Featured blanket is 50 inches x 65 inches (127 cm x 165 cm)and was worked with a tight tension (thumb size knit stitches) so if your tension is looser, your measurements will be larger and you won't need as much yarn. You do want to make sure you order enough for the project to get the same dye lots in your colors. 

 

The pattern will work with other chunky yarns. However, the finished size will not be the same.

 

This pattern is for beginners with a basic knowledge of the following:

• Casting on or creating the foundation chain
• Basic stitches including chain, knit and purl
• Binding off
• Completion of finishing work with chenille yarn, including joining, weaving, securing and sealing methods
• Gauge and tension

 

Pictoral and video resources are provided for special stitches, methods and techniques related to the pattern.
